Monaco defeat Young Boys, Van Persie can't find Fenerbahce breakthrough

Mario Pasalic was on target as Monaco defeated Young Boys 3-1.

Ligue 1 side Monaco recorded a 3-1 victory over Young Boys in the first leg of their Champions League third qualifying round tie on Tuesday night.

All of the game's goals came in the second half in Bern, Switzerland, with Layvin Kurzawa opening the scoring on 64 minutes.

Guido Carrillo doubled Monaco's lead, Raphael Nuzzolo pulled a goal back for Young Boys before Mario Pasalic netted a minute later to wrap up the away victory.

BATE Borisov were denied an away success as Paulo Vinicius scored in the 89th minute for Videoton FC Fehervar after Aleksandr Karnitskiy had struck in the 56th minute of a 1-1 stalemate.

Elsewhere, Dinamo Zagreb drew 1-1 with Molde as the hosts at Stadion Maksimir finished the match with 10 men.

Angelo Henriquez put Dinamo Zagreb 1-0 up before Ola Kamara restored parity. Paulo Machado was sent off in the second half.
